St. Paul & The Broken Bones Celebrate a Decade of "Half the City"
St. Paul & The Broken Bones are commemorating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, "Half the City," which was recorded in Alabama. The band is on a tour to honor this milestone, recently performing in Huntsville and planning a show at Avondale Brewery in Birmingham. Guitarist Browan Lollar expressed that the album is a tribute to their hometown, with many songs written in Birmingham before being recorded in the historic music location of The Shoals. The recording process was old-school, capturing the energy of live performances. Lollar recalled the moment producer Ben Tanner recognized the album's potential, which ultimately led to the band's success and global impact. Among their five albums, "Half the City" remains a fan favorite, especially the hit single ?Call Me,? which has over 67 million streams on Spotify. The upcoming Birmingham show marks a return to their roots, as it follows their first performance venue, promising excitement for fans as they celebrate this significant anniversary.
